Curacao belongs to the so called ABC group, with Aruba on its west and Bonaire on the east side, all are located in the Southern Caribbean Sea, north of the equator and outside the hurricane belt. These Dutch islands historically known as the Dutch West Indies includes the 6 islands of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba.
Did you know Curacao also includes Klein Curaçao? A small 1,5 square kilometer uninhabited island with pristine beaches, located 10 kilometers south east and perfect for day trips and overnights on a boat.
What is the best time to visit Curacao?
The island has an attractive warm climate all year round with an average temperature of 83°F and a continous, tropical breeze. This is why our guests keep coming back (or don't leave at all ;) If you love to practice watersports, sailing and snorkeling, you will enjoy it here throughout the year. The average sea water temperature is about 28°C (83°F).
In general, the skies are mostly clear to partly cloudy. The hottest moments of the year are in the months September and October. Most rain falls from October until January. The high season builds up around the Christmas holidays, from December until spring break April. If you love to sail, dive or snorkel, you will enjoy it throughout the year.
Highest Point Mount Christoffel
Our island spans 40 miles from southeast to northwest, covering 444 square kilometers (171 square miles) with dimensions of 61km east to west and 14km north to south. The highest point is Christoffelberg (Mount Christoffel) at 375m, ideal for early bird walks and stunning views.
Willemstad Unesco World Heritage Site
The island boasts a population of around 152,000 residents, representing a vibrant cultural blend of over 100 nationalities. Its capital, Willemstad, is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it a distinctive gem and one of the few in South America. On October 10, 2010, Curaçao achieved autonomy within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a momentous occasion commemorated as a national holiday
Native language Papiamento
The official language is Dutch, yet English and Spanish are widely spoken throughout the region. The native tongue is Papiamento, which is a blend of languages, including Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, English, indigenous languages and some African influences.

The Local currency is ‘the Caribbean Guilder’. Also US dollars are accepted island-wide and change may be given in guilders.
